In reality, the Mach 1 label didn't mean a whole lot on the first gen Mustangs. In 69/70 most were sold with H-code 2V 351s (could have been a Windsor or a Cleveland) with about 250 GROSS HP and in 71-73 Mach 1 could be on the side of a car with a F-code 302 making anywhere from 140 to 210 HP. Granted they could have had a 390, 428 or 429 in them but they were extremely rare.
