There are some studies happening for this. Logically the sense of smell and hormones (endocrine system) are related. Fatigue is another symptom related to this as well. It is the reason why pregnant women’s sense of smell can heighten or get really tired early on. Let’s say the virus attacks the adrenals then gets into your brain; your sense of smell would be negatively affected. Apparently there have been endocrinologists studying this effect from a previous SARS and treating with steroids. This treatment may become a part of treating Covid patients.
Meanwhile there are ways to take it easy on your adrenals through diet and supplements. If it has been a very long time, i suggest getting lab work done to see if your level of hormones Including cortisol has gone back to normal.

I was about 20 days as well. My wife, no pics, is just now coming back and she had rona in March

i didn't lose smell until 3 days after any other symptoms i had were gone. It was a good week after that with absolutely no smell, then it gradually has returned. I still can barely smell anything from a distance, but if a put my nose up to something I can smell fully.

There’s no evidence that children pass/spread COVID-19 at the same rate as adults. And we know via studies it isn’t nearly as deadly for children. Still less than 50 deaths for children under the age of 15 in the US. Stop fear mongering.

Kids haven’t been back to school since March. No one really knows how it will go and how bad it will be transmitted. But schools are breeding/spreading grounds for sickness, flu, colds, etc, so let’s wait and see.
I don’t know how you can so quickly dismiss the virus being spread in schools when everything else gets spread in schools.

Except other countries who never stopped sending their kids to schools. COVID-19 =/= “everything else” to say so from either side of the argument would be ridiculous. Next.

Questioning how it will be spread through schools since we really don’t know right now, and when it’s well-known all sorts of shite is spread through schools, and then providing a link is fear mongering now? Okay.

I had the virus back in June and I still don’t have my smell or taste back 100%. I have more taste than smell. I know that prob doesn’t make sense but that’s how it is for me.
