I figured your job as a fluffer for gay porn would have you worried about more than covid.

Do you work for the government???

Just quit and move on if it that big of a deal for you. I do think once you quit if you have to go on medicaid taxpayers should not have to pay for your COVID treatments should you ever need them.

So...lose your job, then pay an attorney (while you are making no money) to sue your at-will employer for firing you?

Dynamite plan.

How does that equate to a mandate? Keep making excuses for your people being tyrants, but if you look at people like Desantis, Abbot, etc. they’re against the mandate.

While I’m certainly very pro vaccine, I agree it should have been up to the company to decide if they mandate vaccine or not for their employees.

If Trump was still president he would put a mandate in place as well. I know all of you Trump people will go to your grave saying he would have never done this, but he was one of the first people to get the vaccine and at one of his latest rally's he pleaded to people to go get the vaccine.

You are such a lying POS. At the rally in Alabama, Trump recommended everyone get t vaccine but said he is not for the government or businesses mandating it. I was there.

So should we also refuse treatment for the obese, the drunk driver, the smoker, etc.

Ok with me. So because we do not do that does that mean we should not deny medicaid to people who have not be vaccinated??

I will go one more step and say if you take food stamps you have to be vaccinated.

Welfare is not a right. There is nothing wrong with the government imposing requirements of responsibility on those who get the privilege of welfare.

Not sure what my company is gonna do...our CEO was pushing hard with a $1,000 giveaway and pushing really nasty rhetoric towards unvaccinated...she got confronted by people who apparently she can't afford to lose and was told shut up or we walk....next day she sent around an email to every dept head basically saying CEASE any vaccine talk of any kind immediately.

To answer the question though, I'll prob just get it. I haven't because I don't need it as I've recovered from COVID and have natural immunity, but it's not really a hill i feel like dying on.

Employer ought to fire any employee who comes to work positive with COVID if they refused incentives for vaccinations.

Some other employee will sue him saying he is not protecting the employees from COVID.

Let me just ask this: what worries you about getting the vaccine?

1. Against overreaching government pressuring and mandates

2. The current vaccines are not as effective against what we are currently up against, variants. More studies keep coming out that counter the narrative that if you are vaccinated you won't blah blah blah. The initial promises of what the vaccine was suppose to do have been turned on it's head. Maybe something that was developed later and slower may have better results i.e. Novavax

3. Had COVID in March of 2020 and August of 2021, I should have antibodies for awhile. Survived it TWICE, so why be so scared of it?

4. There are tons a anecdotal reports of the vaccine giving weird and long lasting side effects. I know two people that still has tinnitus months after the vaccine and another who had horrible cramping and pains during her period. Nobody can explain why this is happening..that should scare the shite out of you when an overwhelming amount of healthy people will survive COVID.

Add all of that up and you can pressure all you want. There are too many unanswered questions and concerns for healthy people that will survive it. Why risk lingering pain in your ear, pain in your arm, fears of harming your reproductive organs from a vaccine that is *safe*?

So this is the only worry you really listed about getting the vaccine itself. And I have anecdotal evidence that vaccine causes zero side effects. Anecdotal evidence is pretty unreliable.

But I get it. There’s a lot of uncertainty and fear mongering going on on both sides. I would just urge anyone to go ask their doctor about it before making a decision like failing to comply with company policy and risk losing their job.

As to the other arguments you made, I won’t get into them more than to simply say I agree government overreach is potentially problematic, though I don’t think we’re in normal times. The current vaccines are still extremely effective vis a vis the standard for vaccinations and if you were to get vaccinated you would get hybrid immunity, which would give you an extremely potent antibody defense against Covid. And, yeah, covid is likely not going to kill you or cause horrible long term side effects, but it likely will lay you up for a while if you get it, much like the flu, and the vaccines will help prevent that.

Do what you want. It’s your choice. And, again, I get it. I just think you should really consult your own primary care doctor first.

Vaccinated employees are exempt from masking. Unvaccinated employees have to mask when they're away from their desks.

I'm vaccinated anyway. Also want to quit but for unrelated reasons.

Both you and your son sound like morons in that case. Hospital systems are going to make this vaccine mandatory just like the rest of the vaccines the FDA has approved.

Two friends in their 30's with issues post vaccine for something they can or did survive is enough for me. The worst part is, they Googled their issues and many other people had those same issues. I think it is pretty scary for a young person to get nonstop ringing in the ears and the medical field HAS NO IDEA what is causing it and how to fix it especially from a *safe* vaccine. I saw a university was finally starting a study on women having major issues during their period after the vaccine. If I was you , I'd search both of those issues and see the amount of people complaining and what their complaints are. What is especially unnerving is that the medical community isn't reporting these issues, gives no reasons are given why it may be happening, and their is no fix. These are only two issues, there are many more people complain about online but I don't have second hand verification that they are occurring as I do with my two friends.
