I upvoted your post, but I have a question.
Have you honestly ever felt you were discriminated against because you were gay?

I can't speak for him, but I have personally witnessed discrimination in my workplace. I used to work in a plumbing supply warehouse in 2015. We had a temp come in who was gay. We didn't even know it until he mentioned his partner. I thought nothing of it, until I heard two of my coworkers snickering in the corner. I went over to shoot the shite and they were making fun of the way the guy walked, saying that he "swayed his hips". After this they also did everything they could do to avoid working with him, and since he was a temp, this means he lost out on knowledge that would have been offered to him if he wouldn't have mentioned anything about his partner.
I don't think those 2 coworkers had any problem with gay people, but they were sure quick to change how they acted when he was around.

ONE you shouldnt make fun of people
and
B
if you do,have the decency to do it in front of them and take your butt whooping if its deserved
and if its not obvious, I think its offensive as a Christian who believes God makes us the way he intended and as an American that believes in the rights set forth in the Constitution to judge discriminate or deny rights of anyone.
but, Im also an a-hole that makes fun of the absurd by being even more absurd
but its kinda werid on here when the actual racist send me a private message about the porch monkeys and I have to explain that my jokes are making fn of the extremism not endorsing it
Im talking about you FR33

If anyone claims the Bible as a reason for hating anyone then they’re not really following it.
I disagree with their lifestyle choices but I don’t hate anyone and show them the same love I show everyone else I come into contact with. (Except bama fans screw those guys) (jk

I am genuinely curious as to your "not sure what good it would do" thought process. What did you have in mind with the thread? Many posters seem to have the same attitude that I do. Some...not so much. What does their view matter anyway? When someone disapproves of my gender, race, ethnicity, religiosity etc., cool beans. It is their right. Codifying that disapproval is another story. Again, I am genuinely curious as to what you expected other than the mixed (and honest) responses that you got
Of course I expected a mixed bag of responses. Some posters are just more outspoken in their views than others. When I say “what good would it do?” I mean this: I’m not asking to stop making fun of me, or say I’m sorry for what I am, nor am I making any demands for anything. When I speak of what I go through here in the OT, it’s to show others that trans folks like me exist in the everyday, mundane life. That I go through through living my life just like everyone else, under the radar, and that we aren’t some spectacle either. The only thing I have demanded is to be treated like everyone else. I don’t demand people use certain pronouns, unlike that unfortunate Gamespot person. I’ve come to learn to deal with the stares, it’s just a part of going through this. I’m happy after dealing with this for decades. Genuinely happy.

Who the frick here "hates gays and transsexuals"?
Hating their bullshite leftist propaganda does not equal hating them. I don't give a shite about them one way or the other but their shite is poured down my throat at every turn and it is tiresome.

Don’t hate, I pity them. I can’t imagine suffering from such mental illness, and instead of people helping they tell me it’s ok.

Have never been to gay pride and think walking down the street in drag and demanding respect is flat arse stupid. I also do not believe in transgender, if you're born with a dick your a boy...period.
Problem is a very loud minority is being allowed to speak for all homosexuals. I know gay guys that one would never use term flamboyant with, don't seek drama or attention, like to hunt & fish, voted for Trump, ate chicken-fil-a, and don't want to be known more for who they have sex with than their individual actions & merits.
But elites in Hollywood and other media centers end up making the fringe but loud & flamboyant 2 snaps and around the world stereo types who very much want to be thought of as gay before anything else and trans speak for all. I remember when initial outrage with chick-fil-a started that some wanted to start a kiss in movement where homosexuals go into a chic-fil-a location and make out to show everyone how normal they were - because every time I went inside one I always saw heterosexuals making out to prove how heterosexual & normal they were. They also band together to bully or harass anyone who dares have a different opinion, not accept something about them even if not really about being gay, or just aren't motivated to watch gay relationships on tv due to not relating to them.
I also agree with the Dr from John Hopkins that boys in particular claiming to be transgender will with counseling grow out of it after puberty with many (but not even all) just being gay and confused over that. I think it's Iran that actually pushes or at least accepts transition over being gay forcing many to transition to avoid being hung. I think not helping these kids to accept their biology is wrong, lying to transgenders is wrong, public funding for body mutilation is wrong, and pushing the blocking of natural puberty should be considered child abuse.

I don't know anyone that hates gay people. I know a lot of people that hate the lie that gay people are "oppressed" and the lbgtqklmnop shite being shoved down their throats all the time. And trans stuff is on a different level.
Thanks for taking the words out of my mouth and saving me the time to post it.

Im a PK, all the men in 3 generations before me in my family were pastors( except one Uncle) the women in the family married pastors Assembly of God and Pentecostal in short we made hardcore Baptist look like Methodist. So I am well versed in what God has to say about it
I also have experience in Public Policy and was in deep with the political battle( opposed) over Bathroom access in Houston and in Texas.
All these blanket statements as if you know what makes someone gay or trans ... its fine to have that opinion but at least put some study in it so you can back it up.
Heres what I know, babies are born in RARE cases with the sexual organs of both genders showing. Even more babies ( little innocent babies) are born with an organ hidden.. if that "mix-up" can be seen with the trained and untrained eye how much more is unseen and not understood?
SO what I KNOW is that I dont know enough to pass judgment on WHAT someone is and WHY they are that ...
And if it is a sickness, well so is cancer . God creates
you go tell God he is wrong before you call one of his creations wrong
that being said I can disagree with the political movement that tries to take advantage of the issue to grab political power and that exists on both sides...
IF you care to learn read the following from a Baptist Minister from Texas written when the State issue of bathroom access was going on
Mark Wingfield is associate pastor at Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas. He has a piece on the Baptist News Global site that is worth reading. It begins:
The truth is that I don’t know any transgender persons — at least I don’t think I do. But with the help of a pediatrician friend and a geneticist friend, I’m listening and trying to learn. This is hard, though, because understanding the transgender experience seems so far outside what I have ever contemplated before. And the more I learn, the more theological questions I face as well. This is hard, even for a pastor.
Here is a taste of Wingfield’s seven things. Some may seem very basic, but as Wingfield say himself, most of us haven’t been challenged until now to look at these things. These seven may also give transgender advocates some starting points for their conversations with us who are still learning.
1. Even though LGBT gets lumped together in one tagline, the T is quite different than the LG and B.
2. What you see is not always what you get.
3. Stuff happens at birth that most of us never know.
4. Transgender persons are not “transvestites.”
5. Transgender persons are not pedophiles.
6. Transgender persons hate all the attention they’re getting.
7. Transgender persons are the product of nature much more than nurture.

I'm not religious and the difference between dislike and hate has never been that much different to me.
But 9 pages later, 266 downvotes, and tons of negative comments says there sure are alot of you that dislike them.
