Nice ad hominen attack. So far the number of outright lies and personal attacks are in the double figures. Nice consistency from the OT.

Ignore initial question, cry about being called what you are.

Nice consistency from your kind as well.

It takes a real dog to go out and protest going back to work in a pandemic. That’s a real mind frick. Let’s not protest for better healthcare or sick pay, or rent freezes. No! I want to work right now and sacrifice the lives of people who could die from this thing. Bootlickers

The same question to you? What do you do for a living, how many dependents do you have, and are you being paid?

I’m a fricking bartender. So shut the frick up with your condescension. I haven’t had a job since March 16th. All I’m saying is the protests are very misguided. We need rent freezes and sick pay.

Projection. You were condescending. I was asking questions.

Bartender. Ok- good honest work. But you understand that those with dependents/employees/everything financially on the line might see it WAY differently than a bartender who can exceed his pay just by staying home and getting a government check? Certainly you get that, right?

I just don’t understand where all of this “empathy” is coming from all of a sudden. I can hear the echoes of the OT saying “get a real job then.”

How many folks here aren’t getting payed? I thought this place was full of rich supermodels right? Why the “empathy” now?

I understand wanting to protest and being in a tough spot, yes. I have a working class empathy toward people who feel like they are getting screwed. That’s the common ground.

What I’m confused about is why these folks are protesting going to work under the same conditions. Why not put measures into place that would, you know try and avoid this situation? Like sick pay?

Somebody in a thread about masks made the claim that if you have the flu then you should be responsible and not go to work. Well, buddy that’s not the case for most working class people. You can’t just “call in.” Best case you don’t get payed. Worst case you get fired. Where’s the OTs empathy in that situation?

We can all see that you are obfuscating, changing the topic and answering questions with questions. So let me respectfully try again:

You do understand that those with dependents/employees/everything financially on the line might see it WAY differently than a bartender who can exceed his pay just by staying home and getting a government check? Certainly you get that, right?

I very clearly stated that I understand where they are coming from.

These people should be fighting for sick pay, healthcare and rent freezes.

(Assuming these protestors aren’t plants funded by Jeff Bezos, am i doing this right?)

I also understand that if the government shuts down your business then you should be compensated for that by the government. Why not protest that?

I’m curious how a self-employed individual who has a mortgage, and liked their high-deductible pre-Obamacare plan, should be fighting for these things?
