LOL, there's plenty of nightlife up here.

Actually pretty much the same shite you can find in Uptown. Just less douchey.

You would never make it in a big city or corporate job with that grammar. Stay where you are.

no, the Channel

I've spent some considerable time in Dallas and can see why it would be for some people. Spent a couple weeks last year with some guys that grew up in Deep Elum. If I was forced to DFW to chase the money, I'd have to live Downtown, Deep Elum, or maybe uptown/Oak Lawn.... that's just more my character.... I'll never own a lawn or lawnmower

What do people do in big cities all day? I get bored out of my mind.

If you like the slow life, pain in the arse cops, terrible traffic (Broadway and 323 UGHHHHHHH) , low pay, and country for days then its for you.

Give me the bright lights, big city feel any day.

To be fair I would say that Deep Elum is probably the best place to be for single professional dude, but I don't feel like paying 1400 for a broom closet where I get 1300 sqft here for the same money.

Anything you want..happy hours, restaurant scene, social events, parks, live music, sporting events, rooftop bars, museums, any kind of club or hobby you could want to take part in.

What's the opposite of that? A town where nothing ever happens and you sit in a boat or deer stand. Yeah, different strokes for different folks, but it's hard to argue that it's easy to get bored in a big city that offers literally anything you could want.

ETA: I need to make the move from BR to Dallas the more I think about it.

Just think of all the Baws in camo you can connect with on Bumble

As a side note, last year up in DFW I literally slayed on the apps... also for Bastille day I ended up going on a date with a chick to a Museum party and watched fencing... yeah city life >>> suburb/country life

You definitely do more driving up there and I agree it is generic.....and very beige. But the neighborhoods are majority white and the schools are majority white which makes the people up there feel safe.

It's certainly generic, but that's fine.

And also, it feels safe where I live because it IS safe.

i feel sorry for those who have to live in the suburbs

it really does suck living in one of the best towns in America to live in, 1 of the safest towns in driving distance to tons of shite to do, and in a place with a top 10 ISD in Texas.
