I had it, day 1 was common cold like symptoms. Days 2 and 3 were absolute misery. Day 4 was better but tired, and for the most part day 5 I was better.

Pretty sure it's night two for me. Going to the doc tomorrow to confirm. Feels like it, but hoping it's something else and I'm just being a pussy.

when I went and got my flu test to confirm that I had it today they take that little Q-tip thing and stick it way the hell up your nose. It felt like it was touching the back of my eyeball

It always feels like a waste going to the doctor for the flu, unless it's early enough. They poke and prod, say, "yep, flu" and at that point it's a waiting game of hydration and temp control.

Mostly I go to make sure it's not super AIDS or something.

My wife has it and received the flu shot, 3 days in. She was actually tested for it. Dr. said the strain that is going around is weak.

Sat in a truck all day with a buddy with grand rug rats that got the shot. He pulled up sick the next day and I did the day after.
I had lingering aspects of it for 10 days, but I'm old. It was not fun. I took some form of Tamiflu.

Agree completely...there is not much that they can do, so I really don't see the point unless I feel like I am getting some kind of secondary infection or something like that.

Just got over it. Started feeling it Saturday (burning throat), just got my energy back today, just hacking up stuff. I can't remember ever having a sore throat like this except when I had my tonsils removed.

Sucks because I was supposed to start a new job Monday. Luckily they were nice about it and said to just start this coming Monday.

I went this time because of how bad my throat was hurting, thought it was strep, well that and I needed documentation in case work wanted it.

ETA: The only place I could have gotten it last week is the gym. Don't go to the gym sick assholes.

Felt it coming on Tuesday. Wednesday I confirmed at doc and by last night I was dead. Died again 2-3 times today but think I’m pulling through. Hopefully day 4 is fatality free

Tomorrow will be better for you. Day 4 I still had no energy, but was ache/chill free, day 5 (today) - energy almost normal.

I thought so too, doctor confirmed it wasn't with a culture test.

The “flu shot” is a shot containing the flu virus. So they say.

Viruses are contagious.

The flu shot is given out like candy on Halloween in the?????

Yes! The winter!

There are major flu outbreaks in the????

Right again!! The winter.
