Can someone explain to me why someone that is in the country illegally deserves US legal hearings?

No idea. Barry Obama deported more than 300,000 in his time as President. Not one got a hearing.

Because without a hearing there's nothing keeping you from being deported even if you're a citizen. To me the sole purpose of a hearing should be to establish citizenship.
I am sure this will get down votes but I don't trust your average federal govt worker to actually care if the person they want to deport is actually an alien or a citizen.

I don’t have the trust in many of them to actually try and deport them if they are here illegally.

How hard is it to produce a birth certificate, passport, or other proof. I don't buy your premise.

Do you, right now, have a passport or birth certificate on you?
If the answer is no, you're making my point pretty well.

I have my passport dumbass look at my screen name. I can produce my birth certificate in 20 minutes. I have my drivers license and my social security card on me too.

Sorry, not good enough. You're coming with us. Next thing you know your arse is on a plane to El Salvador.
People are quick to give up their liberties when they think the other guy is the only one that will be affected.

Because the founding fathers believed in a system of laws, checks, and balances.
