E&O should pay for that frick up. Hopefully it's a good E&O insurance company that will step up to the plate unlike Fireman's Fund/Allianz.

I can't see any possibility of the mortgage company closing without proof of flood coverage paid in full....unless the dude faked a policy declaration.

Either way, that guy is losing his license to sell any lines ever again.

One would assume that the way the OP abandoned the thread he was mistaken.

By the way E&O does not cover theft/fraud if the story is true as it is neither error nor omission.

But it will cover:
quote:

He calls the loan originator from the mortgage company and the loan originator says "I'll be right over". He arrives and tells Tom that "he made a mistake and screwed up" and "the money disappeared" and there is in fact no coverage. He swears he doesn't know where the money went.

The loan originator then said "you have two choices-you can sue me or I can refund the 3,000 back to you".

Maybe the E&O carrier pulls coverage for his stupid admission, but that is a frick up that will be covered unless the E&O carrier is a POS company.

Its a big business. They recruit right out of college. There were some recruiters on my campus just this past week.
