Auto industry bout to get bent over for their pollution. Surprised it took this long.

When Whirlpool closed a plant in Ft. Smith it took less than a month for the contamination plume that had been covered up since the early 80's to become public and all hell break loose.

The Flint area has become one of the more destitute cities in America over the past 20 years. They'll be a community of one government check after another after another.

I got a job offer at ford a few years back. I turned it down because that entire area is a third world country.

So basically they switched from using lake water to using Flint river that industry dumps all their shite into and then they're all shocked that this happened?

Flint is one of the worst cities in America period. Nothing but crime and just horrible living conditions ever. Makes inner Detroit look like south baton rouge. There are places the cops won't go in the daytime. Plus the Fritos guys are told to be out of the neighborhood by noon or they are on their own. Yes it's that bad. Population is like 85-15 African American ratio. You could not pay me to live there. Detroit at least has the burbs to fall back on.

Supposedly the river water is also more corrosive to older lead pipes used in older homes and businesses across Michigan. That ends up being consumed, and if it's not filtered, it can lead to cognitive development problems and other health issues.

Not sure if this story is real. Said FEMA sending 28,000 liters of water.

Your link is from RT so they will sensationalize it a bit.

Another source that will probably try to downplay it is this one. But apparently there is a problem, mostly caused by old lead pipes in homeowners' homes rather than the city of Flint itself.
