More concern for I55 east than west of there. Precipitable water projected to be quite high 1.75" for this time of year. After cold snap leaving dormant plants and cold soil behind, it takes less rain for problems to come up.

Should get into the rain tonight.

She's ridiculous.
If you want sane, responsible weather predictions and warnings, go with Dave Bernard.

NOTHING beats the Jay Grimes/Steve Caparotta duo at WAFB. They are the two best meteorologists I’ve ever seen - locally or nationally. No hype, only facts and candid talk from those two. When they’re wrong they say they’re wrong. Mostly they’re just right, though.

Yeah, he was spot on saying Katrina wouldn’t amount to much.

In his defense, without human error left and right, Katrina wouldn't have done much to Nola

The true bitch of the storm went East of us.

He was saying the whole storm wouldn’t amount to much anywhere, not just SELA.

Yeah, I'll never forget sitting on the couch watching him say that Hurricane Gustav was winding down over southern Louisiana, and things were starting to improve, just one minute before I lost power for the last time and a gust of high winds pushed a 125 ft. water oak tree on top of my house and Tahoe.

I have the voice of Carl Arredondo seared into my brain midweek before Katrina, he spent 5 seconds mentioning it and said "not coming here" and moved on. Then post Katrina I remember billboards and tv commercials about him and the WWL wearher team stating "they got it right first". I cannot stand the sight of him on my tv now

Yeah, Jay Grimes really is an idiot for not knowing when your house would lose power or when that one last gust of wind would take down your old oak tree. Shame on him.

But you can't see that it's going to happen, you have to take it on faith that flash floods are possible. Your theory requires more faith than religion.
