Although I imagine if the proclamation merely mentioned her as the fastest female swimmer it would probably be easier for her to claim as a title without getting a target on her back

Hopefully she agreed to this. DeSantis isn’t wrong at all, but she will take the brunt of this from the alphabet people

Such a silly piece of political crap that is purely designed to get himself attention and praise from his base.
I hate that politicians do this stuff and even more that people eat it up like it means something.
Regardless of your opinion on this whole trans swimmer stuff this is nothing but pure propaganda and is no different than the journalists and other media trying to make Lia Thomas some kind of hero. It’s all just about getting attention and making a wave.

That was my thought too
From a regular citizen perspective, I prefer it as is
From her perspective and wanting to actually give the title to her in a sense she can claim, it might be hard for her to do without becoming the villain for the psychos
