Depends on which one you get.

I had the Charge. It is only held on by a piece of metal with 2 prongs that you pop into the corresponding holes in the bracelet. While carrying something on an LSU football gameday, it fell off without me noticing. There went $100.

I now have the Charge HR with a watchband type clasp. It's definitely better than the previous one.

I have a Microsoft band 2 which is a better version of fitbit(I bought both and the band is better). It was cool for a while but I got bored with it and it's been on the counter in my bathroom for a month.

I like to wear a watch and can't wear both

I just don't get this fad. I'm not against them per se, but it's definitely like the new livestrong bracelet or something. Everyone wants it because the person next to them has it, and the original intent of buying it is a distant second. There are much better watches to monitor your excercise. If you truly need to monitor the amount of steps you take in a day while at work, you should probably look into including some actual physical activity in your life.

Had a coworker talk about wanting to get this Garmin watch because he bought a new bike and wanted the GPS and all the other sensors, and he liked that it came on a watch. I told him I had the older version, and got it out of my workout bag to show him. His first question, "does it monitor your steps?" When I told him no, he seemed completely disinterested since everyone in the office had fit bits that counted steps. I'm using this watch to run 6 miles after work, I don't give a shite if I walked 1000 steps today, I think I'm being active enough.

Not really. It depends on what you want to get out of it.

To me, they're all inferior products for the info I am looking for, regardless of which one I get. But someone who wants an estimate of how many steps they take and a bad estimate of how well/bad they slept can certainly find what they are looking for.

For alot of people t doesn't really matter how inaccurate the data is so long as you track it on a daily basis and only compare the data to your previous history, not someone elses.

If you like it is worthless to you. To me it is completely worthless and a fad. The only useful stuff it does my phone does also.

Oops! Meant to say "If you like it is worth it to you."

I stop wearing a watch years ago. So I started wearing a Fitbit and I like wearing this now. I mainly just use mine for my heart rate and keep up with how many hours I sleep at night. If I don't get close to 8 hrs of sleep then I'm fatigued most of the day.

Yes it is worth it. I have a FTBT Charge and I appreciate its basic simplicity. Not trying to measure all my vital signs, just my steps daily. It does that well, and syncs well with my My Fitness Pal app and fat/protein/carb calorie counting.
My goal is 10000 steps most days. My Charge is my incentive to keep at it every day.

I have no interest in getting one. Really don't care what my heart rate is or how many steps I take but I am not old or fat though.

It's just a tool to help you out while trying to reach fitness goals. No more, no less.

The step counter is very inaccurate. When I had both Fitbit and Band I wore one on each wrist for a week. At the end of most days Fitbit would be around 10k steps and Band around 5,500 so the correct number is probably somewhere in between

I have the Fitbit one. I'm not a fan of the ones you wear on your wrist. This one just clip on, so I hook it on the pocket of whatever pants/skirt I am wearing. I like it because it helps keep motovated to be active. Have a year long competition for steps going with the family.

Yeah, my watch cost more than a fit bit. I can keep track of a lot more while swimming, biking, and running. Trust me, Garmin watches kick a fit bit's arse. Now only a few do the "lifestyle" tracking or whatever it is that fit bit does. I don't have, nor want one of those. It's useless to me. Like I said, I'm not against the fit bit, but don't understand its purpose.

My friend really loves hers, especially when she was reaching for more nachos. They're a hip fashion statement to most people that scream, "Look at me! I work out and have money".

Yes. Really like

I have the FitBit Charge HR. Serves as a wrist watch.

Tracks my heart rate which is my main point of interest

I could not give two shits about trendy or everybody has one or it's trashy.

Steps & sleep are bonus items. And so what if it's not 100% accurate. It's directionally correct for me.

Synchs well with my iPhone and keeps me up to date with my group.

It's a fine unless you're a wanna be 13.1 f@ggot.

I also have an UP band with no charging cord, if anyone wants it.

My SO throws everything away so I assume it was sabotage.
