Interesting to me was, when I got my Global Entry card they sent it with a protective sleeve.
It's probably more likely wherever they stored my data is more likely to be the spot of the breach.
Guess they send the sleeve as an "abundance of caution" sort of thing.

Yep, our CAC cards used to get on the installation and log into our computers have the chip on em.

But in a typical government move, they didn't even use the chip for installation access until what, at least 5 years after issuing them?

I had a place require me to do this for the first time a few weeks ago at a Wal mart grocery store. It was pretty weird I thought. I guess it's supposed to be more secure?
