But he pays to have his garbage emptied from the trashcan. You're not the first person to come up with that dumbass line either... bunch of fricking retards around here.

He's not paying by the pound. If you put the can at the street who cares if someone puts something else in it.

Personally, I avoid putting rancid smelling crap in the can until day before pickup to avoid smells

Same here. Are you saying your neighbor is going on your property to dump stuff in your can? Because that's an entirely different beast. I thought it was that the can was at the street and the neighbor put something in it.

If I did need the extra room I would do this if the other trash had room right before pickup.. However, I would make sure it was in a sturdy trash bad and tied up.

And I would not mind someone else using mine if it was pickup day and I had room. I rarely ever have the room though.

I usually wrap up the leftover fish guts and carcasses in a plastic bag. Throw it in the deep freeze and then drop that popsicle in the can on waste pickup day.

frick letting it sit in a can a few days, even triple bagged.

If it’s his daily dog crap I would have to say something at the same time I bought him a new $15 trashcan.

How often is he doing it? Does he have his own can and just uses yours as overflow every now and then? Or is he too cheap to get his own can and mooches off your garbage pickup service every week? If the latter, then I'd say something to him.

And to the people that don't understand why someone would be annoyed by this:

- if you're in an HOA (please spare me your "well don't live in an HOA" crap), most require you to hide your can either in your backyard or garage. I keep mine in my garage, so yeah if my neighbor was putting rancid shite in my can that subsequently stinks up my garage, I'm going to be annoyed.

- Also, if the garbage men come after you've already left for work, then my can usually will sit on the curb with the lid open all day...this invites assholes to pull over and dump the contents of their trashy car into my can. Nothing like coming home on a rainy afternoon to find someone's soggy chicken nuggets and chili leftovers splattered all over the bottom of the can. The garbage men aren't cleaning that shite out, so yeah, excuse me for being pissed that I'm the one that has to clean someone else's disgusting crap

Should I take it like a bitch and do nothing, confront him, light a bag of shite on his front door or nark to the HOA?

Ask him to pay half your bill or stop. Sounds like a freeloader, laughing all the way to the bank.
