This is such a dumb meme lol but it is parroted like gospel.

I'd bet the majority of billionaires have 8 figure car collections.

people who call others 'poors' for not having new & nice cars are the ones who are most likely the 'poors'.

Sam Walton drove a 1979 Ford F-150 until he died in 1992.

“Why do I drive a truck?” Walton is quoted as saying. “What am I supposed to haul my dogs around in, a Rolls-Royce?”

Yea it's a meme.

Start a thread about rich people spending habits and you'll have most of the thread talking about how they "know a guy" worth 9 or 10 figures who drives some beat up f150.

It's been a trope for years.

It’s just true.

Families that have had money for a while, they cut back on ostentatious spending.

My old neighbor, Mrs. Mars, drove a beat up old station wagon.

Says who?

The demand for ultra exclusive ultra expensive (1,000,000+) cars is at an all time high.

It ain't poors that are snatching up every 7 figure car that's been announced before production even starts.

Every top end luxury and sports car marque has seen unprecedented growth the last decade.

Rich people buy a lot of expensive cars. That's not really debatable despite the meme that your average billionaire lives a modest life driving a 30 year old bucket.

well to be honest this was late 1990s/early 2000s and the acura was from like 1991 so it wasn't THAT old.

What was (or is) your plan for your kid’s first vehicle?

I have a 2018 4Runner I bought new in Dec '18 and told my wife that will be our 3 year old boy's first car. I drove my last 4Runner for 11 years, I just need to squeeze out a couple of extra years on this one

I’m extremely good with my money. Never had any debt in my life. Started building credit with a credit card at 18 and now have an excellent credit score. Use a high yield savings. Never paid a bill late in my life. Etc etc

My parents bought my first car, traded it in for my 2nd car at 21, gave me their old SUV at 24/25, and bought my current car with half of my wedding money.

My dad also pays my car insurance for the year as a birthday gift every year.

I reckon it isn't difficult to be "good with money" when your parents are paying for your car and car insurance in your late 20s. That's a major expense for most people.
