Personally, I'm in favor of her being at an event that's happy and uplifting -- that she might have a slight interest in attending -- rather than see her fake sadness and regret for a person she never met.

It is a national consensus that our kids are fat and lazy and all they want to do is play video games and play on their smart phones. Kids just don't play outside anymore and most of what they eat is junk.
Michelle Obama is concerned about this, so she has taken on the initiative to rectify this situation through bringing awareness to healthy eating choices and getting our fat arse kids off their asses to exercise and play outside.
However, because she is who she is and married to whom she is, all we hear is ,"That n-word b-word ain't gonna tell ME what to frickin' eat."
You people will let your kids be fat and eat shite just to spite Michelle Obama.
Laura Bush's "cause celebre" was literacy. I don't think you will find a single case of left wing commie pinko liberals crying about her "pushin' book larnin' down our throats"...

my cousin has Down's and participates all over the state in Special Olympics stuff... I've always wanted to get involved, and I am making a concerted effort this fall to attend when he comes to BR for some basketball thing for the Special Olympics...
