first date suggestions?

I've done the usual dinner and a movie and/or bars, but I think something along the lines of bowling, putt-putt golfing, pool, hitting up a museum/planetarium or walking through the park are just as fine, if not better. what says y'all?

Why would anyone go to a movie for a first date? "Hey good to meet you, let's sit next to each other in silence for the next two hours." No, those others aren't better. Go to a decent restaurant that you like - shoot for one she may not have heard of - and be charming.

Actually, a movie can be a great option for the exact reason you stated. You will be near them for a few hours and there will be minimal banter. Great way to see if there is anything there.

Find a gorgeous cemetary in your area, and take her for a walk through it. About halfway into it, grab her hands, look her in the eyes and say quietly but confidently "If you don't put out tonight, you're coming back here......forever"
Then ask if shed prefer Asian or Italian for dinner

I have no idea these days. I've been married and or seeing my wife for the last almost seven years. With social media and texting, I don't know if an actual first date means much anymore.

First dates are key because, besides the first impression BS, you need to do something nice but not set the bar too high. With that said:
-Dinner
-Drinks
-Coffee
-Athletic Event
-Art Show, Play, Museum, etc.
Basically something that allows you to talk but with an interesting atmosphere.
