There's a massive fire that looks to have just erupted between Claiborne and Broad close to the Home Depot by the interstate. Anyone know what's on fire? From the flames and smoke it has to be something pretty big. Nothing on the news websites yet.

Probably bacchus trying to recoup some insurance money after Latoya canceled Mardi Gras. That’s where their den is.

ETA: im gonna fly my drone up and see if I can see it.

ETA: there are now coast guard helicopters heading in that direction. I can see them out my window.

Fire in NOLA

They will put it out in about 10 months. Until then, no gatherings over 1 people.

NOLA Firefighters Association posts daily on my FB feed about all the firefighters on furlough and which firehouses are closed.

Hope they get it under control if it’s as big as you say.

They actually got it under control pretty quickly--I'm impressed. It was a massive blaze 20 minutes ago but it looks to be mostly under control now. I guess they were able to keep it from spreading.
