Anybody know what the final tally was for 2021? Not sure if it was a busy night last night or not.

At least 170. Then, yesterday, there was a triple shooting. I never heard if anyone died.

Can we get a first murder of the year pool going?

Date, age of victim, and drop a pin where you think it will happen.

Closest wins TD premium for the year.

I’ll just say it was surreal sitting on my patio last night with wife and friends and we could hear gun shots from all over. After a while we just inadvertently ignored them. This was far before midnight. I’m sure someone caught a stray. I would hold off on the final numbers. I had 174.5.

It was probably fireworks and you can’t have .5 of a murder

I think Jackson has us on murder rate. The 170 is for all of EBRP which is 450k people although most of them do happen in the city

Memphis set a record with 342 murders.

They were mostly black lives that obviously didn’t matter because I haven't heard a peep from BLM.
