If I have to keep hearing about the Mark Wahlberg wannabe and his faulty pressure release valve much longer I'm going to need a pressure release valve of my own! Damnit they have been playing that commercial on the radio constantly for at least 2 months!

If you notice the couples in insurance commercials are never interracial.

Try being an executor and getting funds from a family member's estate from USAA.

Whenever I hear one of those or the stupid arse Tiger Rag magazine commercials I change the channel. TR mag has that guy trying to do the Most Interesting Man In The World voice but he sounds more like Count Dracula.

I dont fully understand why USAA does so much marketing, as a service member we direct our younger troops there for a few factors, it's very prevalent and well known to military members.

To be fair, that's any insurance/investment company. Merrill Lynch is notorious for it

I've wondered about that too. It's only available to military members and their immediate family... and every military member knows about USAA.

You gotta think they get a frick ton of calls each day from people who aren’t eligible but saw/heard an ad.

Maybe they're trying to reach extended family who are eligible or compete with other companies. We were eligible for USAA because my father was a veteran but I found better insurance and credit card deals through other companies.

Is it because they refer to you as "Master Staff Sergeant Ferguson"? Apparently that is a big deal. And did they ask your kid if she was ok after she was in a car wreck?

IIRC, the commercials started up with the decision to include non-coms in their membership pool. Back then, I could understand it. Now, not so much, unless an ad company got their hooks into them.

With all the ads we haven't seen any changes in costs.

Eh, people often reflect that USAA is easy to work with, whether it's as the person filing the claim, or the entity doing the work and getting paid by them.
