Fight turns into deadly shooting in Treme early Sunday morning, police say

First District officers said they were called out to the 700 block of North Broad Street for a fight involving two large groups, just after 2 a.m. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Emergency Medical Services treated the man on the scene but he later died.

Be that as it may, shootings seem out of control since Mardi Gras, for some reason. I guess maybe a lot of folks been biding thier time during the cold winter for the weather to heat up.
