I've never set foot in a Waffle House in my life. shite like this is why.
Before I ever saw one, I had developed a fear of them based on a constant flow of news articles about stabbings, shootings, and robberies at said WH's.
P.S. One in Shreveport got robbed this week.

I love Waffle House. I grew up in Florida it's part of the cultural experience. Nothing like rolling in at 3AM wearing reversible Orlando Magic shorts and a wife-beater and being the best dressed dude in the place.

I feel sorry for your life. Typically, Waffle House employees are super cheerful and the service is outstanding. Southwest made me miss a connecting flight once and put me up in Atlanta and the hotel they stuck me in was kind of in the ghetto, so I went to the Waffle House across the street at like 1am and it turned out to be one of my best restaurant experiences ever. Amazing food, amazing staff. I was very surprised.

So this is what Bama and Saban were talking about with their negative recruiting. They are using this saying BR is a dangerous place. Like they don't do this at Nutello's Chicken & Waffles in B-ham....

Don't get the hate for WH. Not like you don't know what it is or the clientele that goes there. But if you want a decent breakfast when you're drunk, dirty, poorly dressed, or a combination of all three it serves the purpose.
The IHOP on College drive is a shite show customer wise as well. Staff at both chains seems nice enough tho

Waffle Houses are great but if it isn't past 11 PM on an interstate it loses its charm for me.

Agreed. I wouldn't choose a WH first, second, or even third. But if it's all you got, it's pretty good. Like someone else said, I've never had a problem with the service at one. As long as you can get past the tats, lack of dental care, poor life decisions, and poor social skills of you're average WH employee, it's an acceptable option.
