stop showing me pictures of the looting, were talking about NOW. several of us watched that live, we all know what happened.
I'm no friend to the protestors, i've already made it clear that i'm pro cops on this, but like i said, i think if it gets ugly, you will have hipsters being the main instigators.
There was a few guys from the "Occupy Wall Street" back in town. These guys, last time were raided, and had a shite load of weapons, and were planning on leading a violent march in St>louis and other cities. Cops got their weapons, court threw their charges out.
I watched 2 of them in one of the training videos, showing how to defend and instigate the cops when verdict is announced.
I think Clayton takes a major brunt of any damage.

If you were that store owner would you be within your rights to open up gunfire on all the looters?
I feel like there would be legal repercussions, but at the same time an armed mob is clearly a threat to your life.

the guy who owns the meat market, middle eastern guy, brought his rifles and weapons to guard his store, and he caught a few looters in there, he told them to get the F out. And next time he'll kill them.
He said he could of shot them(by law), he had no clue if they had weapons, but then feared his store would be fire bombed, and killing one or 2, would lead to even worse violence for him and his family. They left their war torn lands to live here and not have to worry about living in fear and having to take others lives.

And here is the answer to something I've been wondering about. From the cnn article...
quote:
Concerns have also been raised that some witnesses could be put at risk once their testimony and identities become public, law enforcement officials said. In some cases, witnesses might have testified differently under oath, providing different accounts than the ones they gave in media interviews, the official explained. Others may have provided testimony that may be interpreted as helpful to the officer's account of the August 9 shooting.

post dispatch beat reporter on crime beat, claimed, in the first 10 days, that there was close to 13 witnesses that backed up the police officer.
I still say the biggest question, is where the hell is Dorian and what did he tell them? He got charges dropped on him, he talked to FBI,STLCOPD,etc. And has disappeared from the Earth.
If anyone would be out there doing interviews, it would be him. Anyone talking out, him.
Did he turn on Mike????

I would bet he remembered some more details when the DA offered him a deal that didn't include jail time. The thought of being locked up could make him remember things very differently. I'd be shocked if he's still in St. Louis, tbh. Which is probably better for his health.

So they're going to let them ruin innocent people's Thanksgiving?
They should wait until after next week, but that's just my opinion.

With businesses in Clayton Boarding up, i have to think it will be this weekend or Monday.
Posted on 11/19/14 at 5:26 pm to stlslick
It's really a shame that businesses are having to board up like we do when a hurricane is coming.

If Craft Beer Cellar is harmed, I will not be happy.

If they think Clayton will take the brunt of the violence, the timing may not be too bad. A lot of people who work there will take off next week. If I still worked there, I would for sure.
