Venture Global is booming in Plaquemines also. The first plant isn't even commissioned yet down the road and they are already working on permits for a second.

Did/Is Kiewit handle the construction of that one as well?

A group called KZJV is doing it. That's KBR Zachary Joint Venture.

Australian engineering firm Worley
Does stuff like this ever bother anyone else? Not one US firm could win this bid?
I see highway projects going in Texas with out-of-state contractors and I don't know how not one contractor in the state could win that bid.
I'm just crazy I guess.

$200k is not uncommon if you’re a Venture Global employee

Brahma is paying their first tier I&E techs $40/hr, their management is a mess though. Not sure if they’re bonuses are similar to chenier.

Well, Worley parsons bought the Jacobs Engineering’s energy, chemical and resources division back in 2019. This gave now Worley a footprint in the U.S. That former Jacobs division is who won the contract and most of the pre con is done in the U.S. and all the construction subs will be US
ETA: US firms won the CP1 and PLQ bids.

Y’all got any opportunities paying 200k+/-??
Absolutely, if you have the resume.
Probably won't make it building scaffold.

Noticed Argent has secured land for another LNG site in Port Fourchon.

70607 is much more likely. Carlyss would mean either relying on the ferry everyday (not smart) or going through lake charles to get to hwy 27
Yeah, can't see very many people living in Carlyss to commute to Cameron. If the ferry is out (which it is quite often), you would be adding another 20+ miles each way. South Lake Charles/Grand Lake areas are probably the most desirable locations if you working at Venture Global. It sure isn't Cameron.

Don't know the dollar figure but I know of an Enviromental Professional that worked at one of the larger chemical plants in the Lake Charles area that doubled their salary to jump to Venture Global.

CP2 LNG also needs the non-FTA export authorization from the US Department of Energy.
So how long will it take to get this done?

They won’t need it for 3 years anyway and by then it wont be issued

My company has been waiting on this. Held up a large project for us as a part of CP2.

A lot of companies have been looking forward to this one. It’s nice to see another mega project land in South Louisiana.
