if the dames don't meet the standards, then lower the standards

Army Sandwich making Corps of Sandwich makers has tough standards.

I can't imagine the Quilting Bee Corp. Yikes.

Don't worry. They'll be able to pass the lowered standards for everyone. And that includes lowered standars for infantry amd special operations. It's a %100 guarantee that standards will be lowered. If you think otherwise you've got your head in the sand.

You shouldn't be. Anf it has very little to do with their physial weakness.

Meh. As long as the standards aren't lowered for them and they can meet them just like men do, I don't have much of a problem with it.

Realize though that the majority of females that try to meet those requirements are going to fail.

They absolutely should. Not to be an arse, but because the battle flied is not segregated by gender...

we're letting these people in our military? Sure hope they're in some type of administrative role.

This is precisely the attitude our military command should have. These are WP cadets, not grunts.

Any woman that wants to serve in the military, fire department or police department should have to pass the same physical requirements as men, unless they are only serving/working in a desk related capacity.

If a woman is signing up for front line military service she should have to box men as well as women. The enemy will not care if she is a woman, so why should the training requirements care?

Stop being so simple minded and trying to sound fair and progressive at the same time by saying if they meet standarss they should be allowed in. They shouldn't be allowed in the military at all.

I was a medic during the summer of 2014 at West Point for the cadets summer training.

I also saw the cadets version of basic training. It was pretty laughable.

It also appears West Point is accepting more book smart only people from what I observed.

I had one kid who didn't even know how to get sweat out of his eyes ask led me for help.

It's not a place for junior nco's to be imo too much brass walking around

I used to not have that opinion then that all changed after getting to my first unit.

That attitude shifted in less than a week.

I agree with ya

I agree, but they are allowed to serve. My only point is they should have to pass the same exact minimal physical requirements as men. No more, no less.

I still remember dodging bombs thrown at me in the clenching/boxing drills by my DS at Benning back in Basic.
