Anyone used the appeals process yet?
My inspector was incompetent and all of my neighbors got an average of $10,000 more than me. All relatively close in income and amount of damage.

Neighbors didn't have same inspector I did.

Thanks in advance.

I believe the Morning Advocate has a step by step appeal process on their web page.

Neighbors got $15,000 for almost same size house. One got a little more water. One got a little less.

Damn. Sorry to hear. You got any Sheetrock quotes yet? I'm sure $5900 barely covers that if at all.

Doesn't matter about income. They aren't checking people's W2s.

I heard what does matter is how many people were living in the house. Which is total bullshite. Is there a difference there between you and your neighbors? That could be it or it could be that I've heard the payouts are totally in consistent and depend on the inspector...

I didn't know people with flood insurance were eligible for a fema grant.
