Yep.

Ocean > Gulf

Yea guess your right, beaches closed from algae> beaches closed from shite

Blue-green algae this week closed beaches to swimming between Bathtub Beach and other beaches along the Treasure Coast shoreline, in the St. Lucie River and other local water bodies.

The smell is so bad it will make you gag. We have red eyes and scratchy throats. We can smell it in our office. It’s terrible,

Not sure what you are judging by, but the sand and water are better along the gulf

I prefer the Ocean. I like waves and shells.

Some of the Gulf is nice but there are way too many tourists for my taste.

Mizzoukills and his family are in town so it is not just the ocean. Steer clear of the pool also. He actually did reproduce.

Many Louisiana, Mississippi, Bama, and Floida beaches put up these advisories this week.

LINK

Just saw on news a Baton Rouge man got the flesh eating bacteria in Miss beach, and is in ICU fighting for his life after the doctors amputated his leg to keep it from spreading.

They also interviewed another Louisiana man who had an infection from the flesh eating virus after getting in the water in Grand Isle 2 weeks ago.

Are you in Stuart? A buddy of mine posted a video on FB the other day of the St Lucie river. It's so bad Erin Brocovich is getting involved.

This is not the stuff that took that mans leg in Grand Isle.

Vibrio is a danger anytime you are in coastal water and had been since I was a kid. It sits on the surface of water during warm months. It's not easy to get though and it's pretty rare so people freaking the frick out should chill.

My dad got it in Grand Isle in 93 and had to have his leg amputated above the knee. True story.

Back then the warnings about it were still limited to eating raw oysters
