Well nicotine suppresses appetite for said junk food, so maybe a slight net
Exactly! Americans were more physically fit back when sugar and tobacco were common. Artificial sweeteners and less nicotine stimulation and we now have obese Americans.

The vaping lung injuries came from pods people buy on streets and sketch gas stations
Yep, and in typical government fashion they banned/fined into oblivion the non sketch ones (Juul, owned by Phillip Morris and follows FDA retulations) which drove even more demand for these random sketchy China ones (0 regulations or oversight) from vape shops which appear to be thriving based on how many I see.
Can’t buy a mango juul pod a gas station, but can go buy blueberry bubble gum cotton candy at Cloud Vaperzzz next door
Making it even more absurd was the langue in the laws literally singled out flavored removable cartridges, which is how the sketchy vape shop continues to operate as they only sell the pod/device combo. Which just leads to more landfill waste and added cost.
None of it ever made logical sense

Juul was never taken off the shelves here…I heard about a ban but they never stopped selling them.

They got an injunction on the ban to stay in the shelves (but they still self removed all flavored pods in the US markets) that led to this appeal and ruling. Without this stay they would’ve banned completely
