I just saw where someone in SWLA was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome shortly after getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
I hope you don’t ever claim others are fear mongers

yall heard bout that time one dude none of us knows got that syndrome that 0.001% of people get?

*also forget that nearly everyone recovers fully from GBS, its cause is unknown, and happens at the same rate whether covid vaxxed or not.*

Pretty high odds

Well, as we have learned in the past few weeks the odds don't decrease even if you are vaccinated.

Understood but there are cases of drugs being on the market for 30+ years before being pulled because we finally realized they cause cancer. One as recent as 2019 that had been in commercial use since 1981.

Sure, now discuss the number of people's cancer that can be causally linked to Zantac when they only took a dozen doses in 1982.

Now tell me how many people will have medical issues resulting from a COVID19 infection 30 years from now.

No matter what lens you look at it from the choice is based in some part on a feeling that can not be supported completely by fact because many of the facts are unknowable.

Dude, heartburn meds have been pulled due to deaths. Too much acetaminophen causes organ failure. The list is endless. You feed yourself and your family scores of items per day you have zero clue about.

You going Holistic Medicine and Organic Vegan now?

Again, the vaccine will not keep you from getting Covid anyway. So without knowing the answer to your question, or if there will be complications in years to come from the vaccine, why wouldn't you take a wait-and-see approach if you are low risk? Especially with a virus with such a low mortality rate.

Again, none of that I can logically wrap my head around.

Crazy how you entirely missed the point with another failed gotcha attempt

Again, you can risk never getting Covid which means 0% chances of effects from it or the vaccine. On the flip side, you can purposely inject yourself with the vaccine and your risk of side effects increases no matter how small background incidence rates may be.

its not really a 'failed gotcha attempt' he wrecked you on the fact that your claim is false. whether or not you get a Covid vax, GBS occurs at a statistically equivalent rate (at least for american covid vaxes).

If it were true that the shots increased your risk of GBS the numbers would support that, but they don't. you are running around shouting an anecdote when we are pointing at tens of millions of data points for J&J and hundreds of millions for pfizer and moderna.
also your anecdote is missing actual risk factors for GBS like strep, GI/URI, infections. which could be a nearly unnoticed illness and are all realistically more likely than covid vax.

Moderna bro here what about us

They filed their BLA shortly after Pfizer (IIRC 3-4 weeks) so you should see their biologics license approved roughly that long after Pfizer because they have the same expedited status and similar voluminous data.

What about Moderna and J&J?

Curious to see what happens with the companies (like mine) that are waiting for approval to require it. Will they wait for all to be approved?

I mean, you've got a pretty good chance that it will prevent you from getting it. Dont let perfect be the enemy of good.
