As Reason's Jacob Sullum noted when the Playpen news came out, "the government's position is that children are revictimized every time images of their sexual abuse are viewed or shared," which "is one of the main rationales for punishing mere possession of child pornography," not just those who make or distribute or profit from it. Under federal law, distributing a sexually explicit image of a child comes with a mandatory minimum prison sentence of five years and a possible 20 years."If such actions merit criminal prosecution because they are inherently harmful," Sullum points out, "there is no logical reason why the federal agents who ran The Playpen should escape the penalties they want to impose on the people who visited the site."

That's actually an interesting point.

I did a very simple image search the other day on Bing and I swear there was a girl about 12 years old naked in the list of images. I hurried and clicked out of it but it made me start to think. Do they put things like that on there to see who will click on it?

Seems to me you saying you clicked on it by accident would create reasonable doubt. Which is probably why they go after people who actually download the images. A lot harder to claim you did it by accident, especially if there are a lot of them.

I'll admit. My curiou situ was peaked on why such an image would show up when searching "swine pox". I wanted to go back and see if it would appear again and click on it just to find out how in the hell that would be grouped in with my search but figured it's just better I don't know

They go after people who actively go to file-sharing sites. You won't finds those kinds of sites on Google.

Cops that are Christian that look at child porn are going to hell even though it is in their job description to look.

sounds like the FBI is dealing in actual kiddie porn
some sites, yes. Others actually have undercover cops, dressed like children (usually with a propeller hat) with their dicks hanging out.

"Well, I thought that was a 35 year old man, but that propeller hat. I don't know."

Porn has been proven to become an addiction. We have agents in the FBI viewing kiddie porn. The FBI is creating kiddie porn addicts.
