I feel like Boba Fett is the character everyone is instructed to like, because, reasons. Yeah, he has a rocket and jets on his backpack, but he has a handful words of dialogue (and minutes on-screen) and the lamest death in the entire OT. I think we're instructed to like him for what is not shown in the films, but what we instead imagine what he is like.

He had one of the coolest book and comic book presences of any Star Wars characters, at least until the prequels fricked it all up.
