Front row for Van Halen on the OU812 tour at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Especially now that Eddie is gone I realize what an unbelievable experience that was.

Haven't seen a concert there, but Red Rocks has to be at the top as long as the weather is good. Just an incredible setting.

Little Feat or ARS in the Fox in Atlanta was pretty awesome. Great acoustics and architecture.

Outdoor venues are my fave! I’ve seen so many good acts at Jazz Fest and Voodoo Fest. Some of my faves are Tom Petty, Elton John, The Cure, NIN, Jane’s Addiction, and Ozzy.

Saw Depeche Mode at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in the Woodlands a few years ago. I would like to go back in August and see Incubus and Rob Zombie (not together, they are both playing on the same weekend though). Not sure if I’m gonna be able to make that happen though.

Back in the day, I loved going to The Caterie and The Varsity.

My dad’s poster.

He made that with all his ticket stubs from concerts he went to at the warehouse, and then got the city to approve a monument built to the Warehouse that they finally completed last year.

Great poster that brings back great memories. Didn't know about the monument will check it out next time I'm in the city.

The Warehouse was a magical place in our day, sitting on the floor rocking out to terrific music with your friends. If you didn't smoke weed, some nights it seemed just breathing was all it took to get a nice buzz. Always a laid back atmosphere.

Kudos to your Dad.

Best concert was in 1986. Journey at Gulf Coast Coliseum in Biloxi. Played on a 30 degree Sunday. Waiting for doors to open was brutally cold. Inside it was easily 90 degrees. Packed house, general admission on the floor at the height of their popularity. After the show, there were hundreds of sweaters and jackets laying in the middle of the floor soaked in beer and sweat. We sat at the top of the arena with three random black dudes passing joints around until we realized that place had cleared out.

Best venue for me would be one of the smaller bars back during that time. Little Chiefs Tee-Pee in Addis, Texas Club, and Grant Street Dance Hall in Lafayette were all a blast. I would kill to go back for a Kirk Holder show at the Caterie on a random week night. One man show that knew every cheesy classic and soft rock song ever made. It would always be 60/40 chicks in the place.

I saw KISS open up with Detroit Rock City in Cobo Hall Detroit in 1980. What an electrifying experience.
