I went to SLU/LSU ‘92-‘94. I hooked up with a magazine sales girl at my apt.
Hooked up with a friends girl on the bathroom sink while he was at the complex pool
Sliced my leg on a homemade convertible during a Mardi Gras parade. We “made” it the Thursday before the parade.
Slept on the st Charles middle ground to babysit our kegs during Mardi Gras only to wake up in 3” of water after it rained all night.....2 years in a row.
Went on spring break, got tore up and evidently drank someone’s bottle of safari cologne.(bad, bad idea)
.25 jager nights at Mickeys in hammond
Getting stabbed in the hand by a midget with a midget Swiss Army knife.
Going all the way down to plaquemine to go get 8 sacks of crawfish for a frat party. Loaded all in my Camry. Get up to port Allen and realize somethings pinching my ankle. Crawfish had busted out. Buddy and I had one hell of an interesting drive back to Bush.
Accidentally caught my roommates gf’s hair in a floor fan. Friend and I throw down. I beat his arse, but it made it awkward for the rest of our lease.
....and that’s why I had to go back to school at 36 to actually get an education and graduate.

There's a night I'll always remember. It was a few days after Halloween, but for some reason a lot of bars were doing the Halloween thing then.
There was a girl whom I desperately wanted to marry. And I was in the FWB zone. After 2 am, I picked her up and we went back to my place.
The physical crap doesn't matter.
I remember her running through my house. Grabbing wine from on top the fridge. Chasing her. I remember her Hermione costume she borrowed.
I remember hours later, sipping wine as we watched the sun come up wrapped in a blanket in a rocking chair on my front porch.
I was a bum. Tired before my time. Zero ambition. Unemployed. She didn't see me as a boyfriend anymore. I ended up leaving her 4 days later.
I see her sometimes. She has a few kids. She's happy. The spark is there. But I'm not someone who would ever pursue a married woman.
But not being someone she wanted to marry ruined my life.
That night, that singular night, was the greatest moment of my college career.

The night we had a Charleston contest at the gym and some wiseacre opened the retractable floor and my date & I accidentally went into the swimming pool.
More stuff happened that night but let’s just say I was around my date and she had no clothes on in the dark.
College for me was a Wonderful Life.

If you just finished your sophomore year, then you just finished either your funnest or second funnest year.
Still can be fun. But it’ll be a lot more focused (including narrowing your circle of friends), goal-oriented, and productive going forward.
