That first article the OP posted included none of those facts you just posted.
Ignorant of the full facts, yes.
Being disingenuous for the sake of argument, no.

My question is how did it even get to the jury phase?
If there were any tangible evidence that said he did it then i would understand. You can't have people playing judge jury and executioner no matter how bad the crime. I just sets a bad precedent. From what i am seeing here though is that the ONLY evidence they had was motive.
How did this not get thrown out at the pre-jury phase? Doesn't the prosecution have to meet some standard of evidence once charges are filed?
I mean this guy probably had to spend a good bit on a lawyer to fight this bullshite. If i were him i would sue the shite out of the DA's office for taking him to trial with so little.

Overall just being an arse? Yes.
Insulting other posters before reading the article? Yes.
Pretending to know more than you actually do? Yes.
Sounds like a regular day for you.

Jury Nullification
If you care about freedom and getting some control back over runaway government, then teach your family and friends about jury nullification.
The government is very sensitive about it and does not want knowledge of it to spread. It would rather the public be ignorant of the concept so much so that it has arrested people for passing out pamphlets about it.
Why every American need ot learn about this taboo subject

Like the one that allows jurors to vote how the want regardless of what the judge says. That is a good law.

What vexes me about it is the statement that the father would not have known of the drivers alcohol level at the time...so in his mind he wasn't killing someone for drunk driving that killed his kids, only an auto accident on a dark road.
When he himself put his kids in a dangerous position. People making him out to be a hero need to reevaluate.
