I allowed One of my kids to sleep over bc the kids mom is my best friend.
The other two kids- I didn’t know their friend’s parents well enough to allow it and I didn’t want to take the time and energy to get to know them just for a sleepover to happen elsewhere.

I don't have any of these problems because I raised little weirdos who never get invited anywhere anyways. I've found that to be a winning strategy.

Our house has always been the house where kids wanted to hang out anyways- so my kids have all had great childhoods.

Just to clear this up because neither you nor Tigernurse are smart enough to understand where I’m coming from: if I don’t want my kids spending the night out, I won’t expect other parents to blindly trust me either. You’re both douchey Karens for thinking that you’re some cut above the average parent and that it’s fine for random kids to be around you overnight, but y’all are too good to trust anyone else with your kids.

That picture of the courthouse included in that story is kind of funny looking. The mirrored glass makes it appear you are looking straight through the building and it is just a facade of a building.

I’m totally ok if parents don’t want their kids to stay at my house. No love lost there.
Some ppl are ok with their kids sleeping over other ppls houses- and that’s totally ok too. It’s their kid not mine they’re making decisions for so idngaf.
But you’re right - when my kids were too small to protect themselves- I sure as shite wasn’t putting them in a position where I couldn’t protect them.
And I have ZERO regrets abt that.

While I agree that there were just as many creeps back then, I believe that the threshold for acting on those effed up impulses was a lot higher then.
Now it’s so common place and the punishment sure doesn’t fit the crime so there’s no real deterrent- and these creepy fks have little to no impulse control now.
