My hatred of cats has nothing to do with being tough or cool. It has everything to do with

1. Knocking off and breaking things at 3:00 AM.

2. Thinking everything is a scratching post.

3. Climbing curtains

4. Knocking over the water bowl constantly.

5. Opening the bread box to destroy the loaf of bread I just bought.

6. Opening cabinets and pulling everything out onto the floor.

7. Having to take up every throw rug in the house because it thinks they’re a litter box.

8. Knocking pictures off the wall.

9. Over turning its food bowl moments after we fill it up.

10. That stinking litter box my daughter “forgets” to clean.

Sounds like you have a poorly-trained, poorly-disciplined cat. You have to teach them what’s acceptable from a young age, just like a dog or child. My cat doesn’t do any of those things.

I dislike poorly-trained dogs who bite people randomly like the one who bit my brother on the leg a few weeks ago when he was visiting a friend. That doesn’t mean I dislike all dogs though.
