Why did you change your original “yay government” comment to this?

This was a 4 hour flight. I wanted to rip the emergency doors off mid-flight.

He also took it upon himself to take both armrests

Not defending his fatness but this is the rule. Aisle seat gets the aisle armrest. Window gets the window armrest. Sucker in the middle gets both armrests.

Beyond a certain point, they should have to account for it with an extra seat or mandatory upgrade to more accomodating seats.

Well this doesn't work for a sold out flight. I was the last to board my plane yesterday because the dumbasses made my prior connecting flight sit on runway for like 45 minutes because we didn't have a gate.

The person next to me took up a good portion of my seat. So by your rule I would just get kicked off because he needs more room? There were no other seats available. It was miserable for me, but I'd rather get home than be delayed.

He was about half an inch from needing a seatbelt extender.
Then he wasn't grotesquely obese. He was fat.

Fat people should be FORCED to pay for a first class ticket.
And you should pay half price and share with someone else with a little girl's figure, since your skinny arse can fit in half a seat.

Anything over 350lbs, buy an extra seat.

If the guy didn't need a seatbelt extender, he didn't weigh 350.

People under 6'2" shouldn't be allowed to sit in the emergency exit seats and bulkhead seats that have the extra leg room.

About a year ago I was on a Delta flight and during boarding a very large women sat next to me and the flight attendant actually asked me if I was okay with her sitting there. She seemed nice enough so I gave the nod of approval and endured the tight quarters for the 1.5 hr flight.

Did you at least grab a boob or something to make up for it?

6’4” and not skinny. Some seats are so short that having my legs directly in front of me hitting the forward seat can be painful. There are times when I have to ask the person next to me if I can have a knee in their area. Most are nice about it. Some roll their eyes because frick you for not being short and skinny.

I’m 6’4” and not skinny either. My knees also hit the seat in front of me and it is very uncomfortable.. but dude, come on. When you’re so overweight that it is affecting others’ travels that they paid for, that’s an issue.
