Fat people should not be able to fly.

Just got off of a plane sitting next to a grotesquely obese, mouth breathing, sweaty, snoring, fat man.
I was sitting in the aisle seat, him in the middle.
He was so fat that he was spilling over into my seat. I had about half of a seat to myself. He also took it upon himself to take both armrests and just let his fat spill over into both the aisle and window seat. He was about half an inch from needing a seatbelt extender.
Fat people should be FORCED to pay for a first class ticket. This shite is fricking ridiculous. Make them buy their own space.

Charter private next time. Skip the lines, the check ins, the whole bit...most importantly, skip the obese and other peons.

The last flight me and my GF got on, some 115 pound girl sat in our isle seat. I was so happy I started tearing up. She was so small she fit in her seat sitting indian style with both legs on the seat

About a year ago I was on a Delta flight and during boarding a very large women sat next to me and the flight attendant actually asked me if I was okay with her sitting there. She seemed nice enough so I gave the nod of approval and endured the tight quarters for the 1.5 hr flight.

This was a 4 hour flight. I wanted to rip the emergency doors off mid-flight.

They need to start weighing these fatties at check-in, along with the luggage.

I sat next to someone exactly like you’re describing once leaving BR. THANK GOD they had two empty adjoined seats in the last row and she got up and moved before we took off. That would have been a miserable arse flight to ATL

For a while there was a bin that they used to check carry on sizes. Along those same lines, they could have an actual airline seat at the boarding gate, have it behind a curtain if you want to keep it dignified, but make them sit in the seat and assess the spillover. Beyond a certain point, they should have to account for it with an extra seat or mandatory upgrade to more accomodating seats.

why wouldnt airlines do that? bad PR? It just sucks being miserable for 4 hour flights because someone is so fat.
