I don't like a really busy sandwich or burger either. No pickles, no tomatoes, no onions.

i've always enjoyed ketchup and cheese only

some onions are OK

sometimes i make a BBQ burger with carmelized onions, bacon, and BBQ sauce instead of ketchup

i want to taste the burger and cheese when i have a cheeseburger

Depends on the burger for me. I’ll eat a Wendy’s burger how it comes. McDonalds little tiny burgers are good with only ketchup.

My wife thinks I'm odd too. I actually am not very picky but I don't like a lot of vegetables on my sandwich/burgers. That's an indulgence to me and I'd rather it covered in bacon, cheddar and BBQ sauce.

I'll have a grilled chicken salad for lunch the next day.

Exactly. The meat, cheese and bun are the stars of the show.

One of the classic fat man orders in video game history.

You can still taste the burger and cheese, the lettuce and tomatoes make it taste even better.

Agreed. I used a ton of condiments as a kid because I had only ever had the overcooked/overworked hockey puck burgers some people do at cookouts. The meat tastes horrible when someone mushes it all to death and sits it on the grill for half an hour.

Turns out, it doesn’t have to be that way. Once I learned to make burgers the better way, I stopped needing a ton of condiments to mask the taste.

That’s a fatty remark. Veggies are just as good raw.

Ya fatty.

A good cheeseburger deserves the waxy square american cheese.

i was anti-veg as a kid but when i started really learning how to cook a few years ago, i incorporated a lot more veg in my food

but a burger? still want that OG ketchup and cheese only

i have a very unpopular opinion but i hate pickles. they are just too powerful and disrupt the burger or sandwich. and they leave pickle residue

i also will admit i cook veg to be on the side of my protein more often than not. i'm not a mixer of food, generally

Whoa, you are not the only one. I was 200 lbs and would play racketball on Tuesdays and swing by Subway and get the BOGO cold cut combo!!

Thanks for that memory.

Tomato is a fruit.

What about carrots, bell pepper, cucumber, onion, celery. all good raw.
