It depends on what part of the city you stop by but as a collective unit over the years.

It is hard for me to put Burger King in the worst list because there are two old ladies that work the window by me that are always really nice. I don't mind it taking a little bit longer for that type of experience.
Problem with that is every time I go, the fat bitch manager is yelling at them all of the time about random shite. She's either sitting down eating or standing up pushing people around and yelling. It makes one of the old ladies visibly nervous and she'll sometimes be absent minded and forget things

It would be interesting to see a list of who owns what store and relate that to the quality and speed of services. I don't think it is specifically the people hired, but more of a management/ownership problem in all of these cases

It's all about the fountain. Their drinks, shakes, blasts, etc. are top notch. Burgers are just average, unless you get one of the ones on TX toast. Those are pretty tasty. Chili dogs are good. Love the tots. They used to have a steak and tots deal where you would get a country-fried steak sandwich instead of a burger. It was awesome. Not sure if it still exists anywhere though.

I have stated before that Popeye's could insult my mother and every other member of my family and I'd still eat there all the time.
ETA: In-N-Out is as good as CFA about customer service IMO. The Wendy's that was by LSU (where Louie's is now) never got my order out in under 10 minutes. That place was a bastion of shitty customer service.

I find their burgers to be slightly above average for fast food. The toaster sandwiches are pretty good.
They do breakfast really well for a fast food. That breakfast toaster is very tasty.
They have really good hotdogs and great corndogs for all of those LSU fans out there.
I don't care much for their chicken tenders, and their popcorn chicken has way too much breading.

I'd replace Hardee's with Whataburger. For me, worst is: 3- Burger King, 2- Taco Bell, 1- Subway
