FARMERVILLE, La. - (8/27/18) A Farmerville man has been arrested on drug charges after a weekend traffic stop.

Farmerville Police noticed a vehicle going down North Main Street without a working headlight.

Police say that when the driver, 21-year-old Decambrien Devontae Bilberry, opened the center console to get his license an officer noticed a number of loose pills.

Bilberry told police the pills were Hydrocodone and that he did not have a prescription.

He also told officers that there was a pistol in the door pocket on the driver's side.

After a search of the vehicle, police also found a baggie with a small amount of suspected marijuana.

That’s a pretty badarse name to be honest

Unlawful search. Not in plain sight.

not when numb nuts opened up the console to dig for his license, that made it "in plain sight"

but that is semantics any way, we have no justifiable ability to deny police search our vehicles without just cause because they use the ruse that its for safety reasons that they deny your rights for their own safety.

if you say no, that is reasonable cause to search because you denied them permission to search so they have reasonable suspicion you are hiding something so they can bring in a dog which can be triggered on command by the k9 officer to falsely alert to drugs and then they can search

not that it would have mattered but if numb nuts would have keep his mouth shut and took his license out before the cops were standing over him, then and only then might he have a shot to claim illegal search

Farmerville doesn't get near enough credit for being trashy. Maybe because it's next to a lake.

Man back in the day you could do whatever you wanted in Farmerville, it's a lake town and driving drunk was the norm.

Meth has the cops up everyone's arse

fist lesson for mr dingleberry...have your license, registration, and proof of insurance where you can get to it without searching if you are stopped by an officer. looking like a damn clusterfrick does not help your case with an officer.
