What a terrible article. Gives very little info other than 7 people were killed by 4 people. No real motive, details on how they did it, nothing.

Apparently Edward "Jake" Wagner, is the ex-boyfriend of Ms. Hanna Rhoden. In addition, at the time of the murderers he was noted as being the father of her 3-year old baby, but not her 4-day old infant.
So, for those of you doing the math at home - Ms. Rhoden was approximately 16 and Mr. Wagner was about 21 at the time the child was born. There is some confusion because there was another Rhoden 3-year old child involved in all of this. The wiki and reporting aren't clear enough about the disposition of the Wagner/Rhoden child or if there was some confusion as to which child is which.
I suspect that the murders were an assault to retrieve Jake's child, although there was both marijuana grow operations and evidence of cockfighting discovered on the Rhoden property during the investigation.
