First time I saw this I was thinking it was a meme/joke.
Damn. It was real.
Damn. It was real.

This is why SpaceX is the absolute, unchallenged real deal.
If NASA tried that, it would have turned upside down somewhere in low orbit and then came in at Mach 1, obliterating that landing barge.

Pretty sure we are not launching them at sea.

Amazing how the rocket sucks in a cloud of dust and takes it with it as it launches.

NASA cannot even get off the ground.

Bro, if NASA tried that, the project would be 15 years delayed and still sitting in a hangar in Cape Canaveral. NASA needs to step aside and just fund private space companies R&D at this point.

With each bolt and rivet costing taxpayers $1000 each.

It is truly beyond amazing.

Oh I know it. And I've been watching each launch of their Starship blow up, or land and then fall over, or land and then crumple up. But there's nobody standing there with the government money bag open saying "Oh, just take what you need."
Eventually Elon will get it right and that son of a bitch's picture will be up in the Enterprise while it's zipping through the universe somewhere.

Not even close. It took only 9 or 10 failures before they succeeded.

That’s SpaceX’s engineering philosophy. They expected to crash a bunch of rockets to learn what the problems were and fix them. It’s been an undeniable success. SpaceX is without question the most advanced aerospace company in the world. I think if Musk started an airplane design company he could take on Boeing and Airbus in 15 years.
