I have never been around a goose but I have seen them do this before. Do they have spurs like a turkey or some other way to hurt you?
It seems you could just grab it by the head and slam it onto the ground a couple of times to either kill it or at least take the fight out of it. Kind of like hulk did to loki.

I recognize in the heat of the moment that it’s hard to have your bearings but that goose weighs maybe 7 lbs and his bones are hollow. I’ve rung dozens if not hundreds of goose necks from wounded birds. Grab it quickly by the head and snap. Super fast and easy. It’ll make some commotion for a few seconds but it sure as hell won’t chase you down like a rabid dog. Those things are mean. And that gif is hilarious.

I agree it would be easy to take down a goose but then you are gonna have to deal with the wackos on the internet hunting you down.

I guy I knew (RIP) had two very tame geese that lived in his yard. They would come up to his backdoor and tap on the glass to beg for food.
