There is absolutely no question your phone is "listing to you". I was once talking to a guy before a meeting. We were talking about the fact he was born in the Dominican Republic before he and his mother moved to NYC. I had never talked to this guy before about where he was from, nor had I ever talked to him on my cellphone. Moreover, I had never done a Dominican Rep. search on my phone, but if I had, it certainly wasn't within the year I was talking to this guy.
Well, after we finish chatting I get on TD to kill time before the meeting starts. The VERY first ad I see is for a Dominican Republic newspaper I had never even heard of. Coincidence?

Got a little creeped out just now. Just saw this ad on Facebook
For the last couple weeks my dog has been refusing to eat his food about half the time and I've never posted anything about it on facebook or anywhere else, but I have talked about it to my girlfriend. I haven't searched for any dog foods or anything recently either. Seems like a pretty specific coincidence

If you can set "hey Siri" or "ok google" and your phone wakes up .... it means it was listening the whole time.
