Mardi Gras-colored wires. I dig it.

In the case of the bronco, this method brings up a message on the dash you have to clear by pressing okay on the steering wheel. So you’re still left with having to press a button.

Everytime I start my truck, I just instinctly turn off autostart. Literally turn key, push autostart button to off, then put the truck in gear. I wonder if that's what Ford had in mind.

LINK
Here you go. First search result on youtube. I'm gonna do this on my 2018 today.

(I don't know how to rename the link so it's not a blind link, but it's a youtube video)

Definitely going to try this first rather than disconnecting something. Thanks

Also, if you’re posting a link and you use the link button on the right to post it, there is a box to fill in where you can name it whatever you want.

A/C running? That will usually allow it to continue idling.

This is literally what you do in that fix. I'm going to try it.

All through the summer, when I had the A/C chugging, it would still shut off when I stopped. Now...less so. I'm thinking it is incremental battery weakening.

I'm going to go the route mentioned earlier in thread (and again just a few messages above) about disconnecting the trailer lights (I rarely am towing). Thanks to those that suggested it.

Now, how about a hack for the horn blast when you step away from the truck (with key in pocket) while it is running?

Pulled the small plug yesterday, works like a charm. It was a very liberating drive home. Thank you again.
