You can buy any time while still under factory warranty and from any Toyota dealer.

If you decide to get one, look up Midwest Superstore in Kansas. Cheapest I could find. I got one for peace of mind, 10yr/100k.

Are they worth it on a new Tundra truck?

Nope, Toyotas are very dependable.

My friend runs a company that sells extended warranties. Unless bumper to bumper.

This . . . I had to have a couple electrical panels replaced multiple times and the sunroof fixed in a 3 year period for my F150.

Did it never occur to you that the shitty work covered by the warranty might be why you had to have the same job done multiple times???

Sure I gave it some thought but I chalked it up to buying a piece of shite from Ford rather than Robinson Bros performing shitty work. Other F150 owners I know were having similar problems, maybe not multiple times.

The first two modules that runs all of the comfort features each lasted a year. The third one has been fine for about six years now. The other module was the one associated with the transmission. It only needed to be fixed once. The rails on the sunroof only needed to be fixed once as well.

My point is during the first five years (125,000 miles) the extended warranty saved me a ton in repair costs. Since the warranty has expired the truck (202,000) miles has run pretty well.
