If someone says "We going on vacay!" and they are sort of joking around when they say vacay I don't care, but when someone says it and is absolutely serious it is kind of annoying.. As well as the word "dayvay".

Expecially?

Corporate speak: I told my new boss I need a reference guide to figure out what they are talking about. I need to bubble it up ? Acronyms for everything too.

All of these are mouth breathing, knuckle dragging, stupid neck terms. Used by mouth breathing, knuckle dragging stupid, trash born and raised necks.

The hate when people use the word "irregardless" instead of the word "regardless".

LINK

quote:

The prefix ir- means “not,” while the suffix -less means “without,” literally translating to “not without regard.” This, of course, is the opposite of what English speakers generally intend to convey when using this term; for this reason, style guides unanimously urge against using irregardless.

Everything is "epic" or "amazing". Please stop doing this, people. It's mostly women who say any random normal thing is "amazing".

and when people say "app" instead of appetizer... mfer an app is something on your goddamn phone

This.

I forget where it was, it might have been Buffalo Wild Wings or Chilis or something where I saw an advertisement reading "Free App with meal" (something along those lines) and I was confused for a second. I was trying to think what App, that you have to pay to download, that would be associated with that place, that you would get for free.. Later one when I wasn't thinking about it anymore, it hit me. App... As in appetizer.

People use app on a regular basis to refer to apps on their phone. It's stupid to refer to appetizers as apps.

Or, you know, maybe they are relying on you to use context?

Misuse of the word Hero. A hero is someone who races into a burning building to save a life. The men who risked their lives on the beaches of Normandy to save their comrades were heroes. The first responders on 9/11 were heroes. Calling Bruce Jenner a hero for becoming a woman is wrong as in "He's so heroic to come out".
