I’ve been drinking like several ounces of whiskey before going to bed (I work nights) and I catch a good drunk before going to sleep. Does that make me an alcoholic?

You think that 1 billion people should drink more than 1.5 billion people?

When you add Europe's and North America's population together, then you get China's population. I know that the Chinese like Baijiu, but I didn't think it was to the extent of European and North American's love of whiskey, vodka, and tequila combined.

While the Chinese drink a shite ton, they do not have the tolerance for alcohol as we do. The thing they do not possess that makes up for this is an off-switch for when it's time to stop drinking, so they get much more out of control on average from a European or Hispanic person when they do drink.

The reason for this is simple: our European ancestors didn't figure out until like 200 years ago that it wasn't a good idea to mix your sewage with your drinking water, but alcohol was distilled and seen as healthy for you, so kids as young as 4 were getting fricked up on booze in Europe. The Asians however have boiled their water before drinking it for thousands of years, so they didn't drink anywhere close to the amount as our European ancestors did.

So yeah, the amount of Baijiu China drinks does surprise me, even if I knew it was popular. I'd think the average Russian drinks 15 times the amount of vodka in a year as the average Chinese person drinks baijiu.

I mean don’t they also recommend like 300+ grams of carbs daily?
